Aramco and ENOWA Forge Partnership to Pioneer Sustainable E-Fuel Revolution

Aramco, a leading global integrated energy and chemicals company, has teamed up with ENOWA, NEOM’s energy and water company, to embark on a groundbreaking venture aimed at revolutionizing the future of sustainable energy solutions. In a monumental move towards a greener future, the two industry giants have officially inked a joint development agreement to construct and operate a state-of-the-art synthetic electro fuel (e-fuel) demonstration plant.

This innovative facility will be situated within ENOWA’s Hydrogen Innovation and Development Center (HIDC) and is poised to pave the way for a sustainable energy revolution. The project’s primary objective is to demonstrate the technical feasibility and commercial viability of e-fuel production by churning out an impressive 35 barrels per day of low-carbon, synthetic gasoline. This eco-friendly gasoline will be manufactured using renewable-based hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide (CO2).
